Other on-site buildings available for rent at Camp Chowenwaw include the PawPaw Nature Center with a maximum capacity of 55 people and the Orange Blossom Building with room for 30 people. Camp Chowenwaw was once operated by the Girl Scouts of Duval County as camp for over 70 years beginning in 1933. Overnight rentals ranging from cabins, primitive campsites and treehouses are also available to make the event even more memorable.

For those looking for a more rustic venue, the family-owned Tucker’s Farm House in Green Cove Springs welcomes brides and grooms to celebrate their nuptials on the farm, surrounded by serene wilderness and natural beauty. Constructed over 30 years ago for horses, the property’s barn is now used as the backdrop for weddings up to 150 people. At All 4 One Farms in Middleburg, wedding guests can enjoy over 100 acres of open pastures and oak trees creating a quiet, romantic setting for saying “I Do”. The property’s open-air barn complete with chandeliers and perimeter lighting, creates a unique outdoor setting for the reception.
If you are in the market for hosting an event with animals, like horse shows and rodeos or just need plenty of space – the award-winning Clay County Fairgrounds is a 45 acre facility and home to three indoor exhibit buildings, the Cattlemen’s Arena with a seating capacity of 3,400 people, and 48 full service RV hookups. As host to numerous events throughout the year, it is easy to see why many refer to this facility as the “Showcase of Clay County”.

Along with on-site dining options, planners can meet with staff to create a menu to stay within budgets and impress guests.
At the nearby Club Continental, guests can enjoy private dining with waterfront views of the St. Johns River. Built in 1923 as the winter home of Caleb Johnson, heir to the Palmolive Soap Company, this venue provides guests with an intimate setting surrounded by stately Live Oaks with gourmet dining opportunities. From social events to board meetings, breakout meetings and more, planners can choose from passed hors d’oeurves receptions, plated meals, buffets with high end entrée and dining options.
Golf Course Views
