Clay County is excited to partner with Airstream Ventures to bring the Florida Roundnet Open to our area this spring on April 1-2, 2023. Participants will compete in a Spikeball tournament against teams from around the region.

We are eager to share more about Roundnet and share how you can support these competitors as they  make their way to Clay County!

What is Roundnet and Spikeball?

Florida Roundnet Open 2023

The sport of Roundnet (commonly known as Spikeball) has been described as a cross between volleyball and four-square. It is played by 4 people (2v2), where each team gets 3 hits between each other to hit the ball on the net, changing the possession for the other team to do the same.

The unique and exciting part of Roundnet is that it is played 360 degrees and with no boundaries! Spikeball, Inc. invented and popularized the sport with their equipment starting in the late 2000s, and it has blown up since!

Today, Roundnet is played all around the world, and last year the first ever Roundnet World Championships was held in Belgium. You can often find Roundnet being played recreational on college campuses, at the beach, or at your local park.
