Things to Know About Clay County’s Disc Golf Couse
The disc golf course’s overall length comes in at 10,377 feet. The two, 18-hole courses both make their way through the park and wooded areas of tall pine tree and low-hanging oak trees with a slight slope. Local disc golf enthusiast, Jon Cantrell designed, built and handled fundraising to create the course in 1999.
The local disc golf community holds weekly meetups to play against each other and organize regular efforts to clean, mow and maintain the course for the community. In 2021, the Sunshine State Games used the park’s disc golf course as the host course for amateur players from across the state.
