BASCA “Cape”abilities Virtual 5K
The BASCA “CAPE” ability run has gone virtual! Because of current social distancing guidelines, we are making some changes to our race plans for this year. Though we may not be able to come together in person for the event, you still have an opportunity to have fun, get some fresh air, and exercise all while supporting a great cause! So put on a cape (optional) and join us for this fun, family-friendly event that celebrates all “CAPE” abilities! For the first time, anyone anywhere can participate! That’s right. You can join as an individual or even form a Team with your friends from Chicago or your Aunt in Georgia! Then run or walk, fast or slow, one mile or 3.1 – it’s up to you – it all benefits individuals with special needs. Here is how it works: Participants can run/walk their 5K or 1-mile fun run any time from Sept 1-26. You track your run using one of several popular tracking apps or a Fitbit and submit a screenshot of your run to 1st Place Sports. As part of your paid registration, you will receive some incredible perks: a digital race bib, t-shirt, and finisher medal! For details about BASCA and this event, visit www.bascainc.org.
