Gopher Tortoise Day Hike

Join us at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park for a guided off-trail hike in the beautiful Sandhill habitat to celebrate Gopher Tortoise Day! Hike will be approximately 2 miles long, lasting approximately 2 hours. Attendance will be limited to 20 people, first-come first-served. Hiking boots or closed toed shoes and long pants will be required. Attendees should provide their own drinking water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and snacks.

This event is free with park admission of $5 per vehicle
