Ready to jump into the deep end of hand knitting? Join Rachael and Julia from Vintage Arts Workshops for a chunky, fun workshop to make your very own hand knit sea turtle! Learn the basics of hand knitting as you craft your very own cuddly creation!
No prior knitting experience is required, as all supplies and expert guidance will be provided. Turtle will be approx. 24×16″

Welcome artists and instructors, Rachael Loeks and Julia Gengenbach of VINTAGE ARTS WORKSHOPS of Jacksonville to The Art Room! We are so excited to have them here to teach these very popular and highly requested workshops! These are events created for a patient and mature audience. This is not intended as a child drop off event. We recommend ages 16 through adult. (Younger artists may attend with parental discretion and with another attending adult.)
*TRAFFIC ALERT*
Starting Wednesday, February 28 (estimated through August), the 400 block of Walnut Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic until date of completion. The Art Room will be open to business as usual! You will have the ability to park in the lots north and south of Walnut Street and have walking access with the sidewalks. If you are hosting a party, please take this into consideration for how you will bring in supplies (we will have a hand truck available to help transport items from your car if you’d like.) Also please inform your guests of where to park.
If the sidewalk happens to be closed in front of The Art Room, we will have safe access through the back door of the studio (which can be accessed in the walkway on the south side of Sweet Sensations.)
