WHITEY’S 2024 BOAT PARADE
**Know Before You Go! What To Expect:**
This annual event draws sizable crowds, and to make the most of the experience, thoughtful planning is key!
**Getting There + Parking:**
– Whitey’s parking lot fills up rapidly. At 5 PM, police officers will guide traffic to our overflow parking lot at Swimming Pen Elementary School (0.4 miles away). Upon parking, choose between a complimentary shuttle (don’t forget to tip the driver!) or embark on a brief 10-minute stroll back to Whitey’s.
– To streamline traffic flow, the turning lane into Whitey’s will be closed. **Please note that this might cause delays!**
– Follow posted signage and adhere to police instructions.
**Before The Event:**
– The tiki bar side will be closed until 3 PM for event setup.
– Explore Whitey’s premises, offering a plethora of activities!
– Live Music
– DJ Performances
– Vendor Booths
– A MASSIVE Raffle boasting nearly $5,000 in prizes! (Purchase your tickets at Whitey’s starting November; the drawing occurs that night!)
– Numerous silent auction and raffle items, a significant source of donations for Safe! YOUR PARTICIPATION IS CRUCIAL!
**During The Event:**
– Boats set sail down the creek around 6:30 PM.
– Ample standing room is available along the property’s bank, closest to the boat ramp. The bridge also provides an excellent vantage point.
– For those desiring a premium water-front table in our tiki bar, reservations must be made ahead of time. These tables incur a fee, all of which goes to SAFE Animal Shelter.
– Regular diners, kindly vacate your table within 2 hours to ensure everyone catches a glimpse of the Boat Parade!
– Boat Parade winners will be selected and announced that night!
– Please anticipate extended wait times for food and drinks due to high volume. Rest assured, our staff is working diligently to guarantee you the best experience!
**After The Event Ends:**
– Stay to witness the announcement of winners, starting with 1st Place!
– Live Music on the Main Stage kicks off at 8 PM.
– If you participated in our Charity Raffle, keep your phone close; we’ll be calling the winners that night!
– Winners of silent auctions or other raffles will receive follow-up calls in the days to come.
– Police officers will oversee traffic until 9 PM.
– The shuttle will continue running until 10 PM.
