Get Ready for the Northeast Florida Scottish Highland Games & Festival

Known as a family-favorite event, the Northeast Florida Scottish Highland Games & Festival returns to the Clay County Fairgrounds on February 25, 2023. Bringing a ‘wee bit o’ Scotland’ to the area, this festive event includes live music, authentic foods, athletic competitions, demonstrations and a celebration of this year’s honored clan.

The day-long event welcomes visitors to learn about the storied past of the Scottish.  Enjoy demonstrations of weaving, genealogy speaker sessions, enjoy Scottish dancing demonstrations and test your skills at the archery stations. Also, don’t miss touring the on-site Tartan Museum telling stories of Scottish clans and families. Vendors are also on-site selling Scottish goods and variety of foods within the marketplace.

This year’s afternoon, entertainment features Albannach playing contemporary ‘pipes and drums’ songs with passion. In the evening, the award-winning band, Seven Nations takes the stage with songs ranging from roots and folk to dance and fusion-rock. Seven Nations has toured since 1994 with shows in Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States. 

The First Coast Highlanders, a local bagpipe band based in Clay County, is the official band of the festival with performances throughout the day. Musician Ron Davis will also perform during the day near the food tents with his unique musical style featuring guitar, mandolin, dobro, harmonica, fiddle and more.

Tickets are available for purchase online and at select locations throughout Northeast Florida. Tickets are also available on the day of the event at the entrance gates. Tickets are $20 per person, while children 10 and under are admitted for free. Parking is complimentary at the Clay County Fairgrounds.
