Top Clay County Events March 2022

Food Truck Friday returns to Spring Park in Green Cove Springs featuring live music and local eats from around Northeast Florida. Held the second Friday of each month March to November from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., bring a blanket or a lawn chair, make new friends and enjoy the views overlooking the St. Johns River.

For delicious, family fun, don’t miss this 6th annual Clay County Strawberry Festival March 5-6 with tasty strawberry creations, including shortcake, fudge, chocolate-covered strawberries, and so much more. Enjoy arts and crafts, free bounce houses, live entertainment, classic car show, and rock painting. Be sure to pick up some strawberries to take home too!

On Sunday, March 6 stop in at the Orange Park Farmer’s & Arts Market for live music, homegrown items and locally grown produce and goods. Located at Orange Park’s Town Hall, the market takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

Top Clay County Events March 2022

Families are encouraged to participate in this year’s Moosehaven’s Spring Fling event on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This family-friendly community event includes food, games, a Kid Zone, petting zoo, pony rides and more. Admission is free for this event, so get ready for a day of play along the St. Johns River.

Learn about the history of Orange Park at the Clarke House Park as the Historical Society of Orange Park celebrates Carrie Clarke Day on March 13 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Clarke family were early residents making significant contributions to the way of life and community. Along with her husband, William, they were active in the social, business and political life in Orange Park. As part of the day’s festivities, the Clarke House will be open for tours, the Clarke Park playground will be open and the Art Guild of Orange Park will be on-site to help children decorate small flowerpots with flowers.

Top Clay County Events March 2022

For history buffs, the Military Vehicle Preservation Association’s Rally and Swap Meet also takes place March 25-27. Take a stroll among the antique military vehicles and witness a battle reenactment and a live weapons demonstration. Have the opportunity to learn about vehicles no longer in service while retired military can be reunited with vehicles from their time in the service. Some of the items on display include tanks, halftracks, Jeeps, deuces and artillery pieces.

The Clay County Agricultural Fair returns to the Clay County Fairgrounds March 31 through April 10. With a theme of “Big Wheels & Pig Squeals”, fairgoers can experience Truck and Tractor Pulls at the Cattlemen’s Arena on April 9 and 10. Other ‘big wheels’ include ferris wheel and the popular Midway rides! For ‘pig squeals’, don’t miss the livestock exhibits and shows. Local, Clay County students active in 4-H and FFA show off the animals they’ve been raising over the past year. Browse the livestock area to see chickens, bunnies, cows, horses, goats, pigs and more. The kid’s ag-tivity area lets children learn about the animals and agriculture and how it pertains to everyday life.
